WHAT TO EXPECT

At First United Methodist Church Hammond, we invite everyone to join us.  If you are just visiting or if you are looking for a new church home, our doors are open.

We offer two different services that offer a worship opportunity for everybody. 

Our Contemporary Worship Service is at 9:00 am and offers Contemporary Praise music as a key element to this service. This service is led my a worship band that includes keyboard, guitar, drums and singers.

Our Traditional Worship Service is at 11:00 am and offers a more formal traditional style of worship that includes the rich liturgical heritage of our faith. Inspirational music is led by a majestic pipe organ and adult choir.

We have Children’s Church available during both services for children ages 5-12. The children are dismissed from worship just before the Sharing of God’s Blessing and Concerns. We offer a nursery for our younger members.  You are also welcome to keep your kids with you in the service if you are more comfortable.

Come as you are, we do not have a dress code. All are welcome.
