What to expect

At First United Methodist Church Hammond, we invite everyone to join us.  Our doors are open if you are visiting or looking for a new church home.

We offer two different services that offer a worship opportunity for everyone. 

Our Contemporary Worship Service is at 9:00 am and offers Contemporary Praise music as a key element to this service. This service is led by a worship band that includes a keyboard, guitar, drums, and singers.

Our Traditional Worship Service is at 11:00 am and offers a more formal traditional style of worship that includes the rich liturgical heritage of our faith. A majestic pipe organ and adult choir lead inspirational music.

We have Children’s Church available during the 9 & 11 am worship services for children ages 3 through 3rd grade. The children are dismissed from worship just after the Children’s Moment. We also offer a nursery for our younger members.  You are also welcome to keep your children in the service if you are more comfortable.

Come as you are. We do not have a dress code. All are welcome.
